The 24 Mountains

In Feng Shui, 24 mountains represent the 24 directions of your home.

In Eight House method, your house is divided into 8 directions, however, in this method, each of your house directions is divided into three more parts. This makes the assessment of your house more accurate, but it also makes it a bit more complicated.

Space is one of the two primary components of Feng Shui, the other one being Time. The time in Feng Shui is expressed by 9 stars (or numbers, in other words) which change over time. 9 Stars have different personalities which also change over time.

The method of assessing your home with 24 directions is known as Flying Stars and the method of assessing your home with 8 basic directions is known as Eight House.

The 24 directions derive from the 8 basic directions. Each out of 8 trigrams (directions) is subdivided into 3 parts of 15 degrees each. The basic direction has therefore 45 degrees. 45x8=360 degrees. Each of these parts has a unique name which perfectly describes the personality of the house.
